Katharine Hope McPhee has been a successful American singer, actress and songwriter for over 30 years. In the month of May, 2006, she finished as the second-placed contestant on season five of American Idol. Taylor Hicks was the fifth American Idol winner on May 24, 2006 Katharine McChee who was 29 years old at the time, woman, was beaten to the crown by Hicks. Hicks had earlier defeated Chris Daughtry and Kellie pickler.

Katherine Marie Heigl was born in America. Katherine Heigl and Ellen Pompeo remain close, even though they may not have been the closest of friends before Heigl's disappearance in the year 2010.
